  1. Wow, Henry's is right down the street from me. My car has been making this sound like two metal pans scraping together. Steven's Creek Porsche says I need a new right rear muffler. I was thinking of just getting some Fabspeed mufflers but my current aftermarket EasyCare warranty (which is almost expired) would not cover the engine if I installed an after market exhaust. If I bought a new Porsche muffler ($444) came down there with it, could I get some help with an install? Do you guys recommend getting aftermarket warranties? Does anyone know of a warranty I could pick up that would allow me to do some mods? By the way I have an Arctic Silver 2000 911 C2 Coupe Manual Transmission.
  2. Wow, dealer says $444 without installation. Pelican parts, $444. It is very tempting to go aftermarket exhaust. My EasyCare warranty does not go for that though. Although it is almost expired. Thanks for the part number.
  3. Year:2000 Motor:3.4L on a base C2 996 Manual Total Mileage 58,000 with 9-13 Annual I can basically go the whole 15k miles in between an oil change without needing to add any oil. But, a few months ago I switched from Unocal 76 gas which my Porsche dealer recommended (we don't get 93 in CA and 91 Unocal is supposed to be better for Knock I think) to Chevron (out of location convenience) and my oil started dropping quickly. Within a couple of weeks I needed to add oil. So I switched back to Unocal 76 gasoline and the problem went away immediately. I've had this car for 2 years now. No other problems with oil except the above episode. Although they did replace my CAM covers due to an oil leak (compliments of negotiation with the selling dealer and my warranty company; among other problems too) right after I bought the car.
  4. 6 Speed manual transmission designed for rapid gear shifts and that it does. It sure doesn't like going from second at 14 MPH to first though. Its kinda stiff going into first in general really. But back on topic, I wouldn't have guessed that it made a difference for the muffler part numbers. Interesting.
  5. What is the part number for the passenger side muffler for a 2000 Porsche 911 Coupe 2 wheel drive base model?
