  1. OK, so I dug in and had to unbolt a ton of modules. I could pull the old solenoid out but not without breaking the tabs on top and bottom. Now I can't figure out how to fit the new solenoid in without loosening the trim around the fuel fuller.

    The tabs on top and bottom go between the plastic trim around the filler neck and the sheet metal of the quarter panel. Anyone know how to loosen the trim around the fuel filler? Otherwise I'm just going to cut the tabs off and rely on the screw to hold it in.

  2. I'm looking for a heat shield that comes riveted to the front exhaust support (center muffler) on a 2011 997 Turbo S. See attached for pics. The support is stamped with 997.113.027.31 but when I order the part the riveted heat shield isn't included, nor does the part number for the heat shield appear in any catalog. Is this a part that is no longer necessary? Thanks in advance.
