  2. i have checked and double checked that its not because of the bonnet, boot or even the arm rest lid!!! there definitely isn't any sign of hairy creatures setting up camp in my footwell so i'm really stuck as to what it might be!! I have repaired the front end about 2 months ago because i bought it damaged but this sound has only just started and wasn't there before?? Any more ideas!! Thanks
  3. Hi, I have a funny noise like a quiet horn that sound intermittently down by where the fuses are on the right hand side footwell!!! I also get a horn beep when i lock the doors and alarm the car!!! Does anyone know what this could be!!! I'm pulling my hair out!!! Thanks Scott
  4. I tried taking the knob off and putting it back on but its still the same!!! When you twist it to turn the time back, it keeps moving between the hours and minutes!!! Its so annoying!!!! Somebody help please!!!!!
  5. Hi, For some reason everytime i turn the ignition on the clock flashes like it needs to be set. If i try to set the time by turning the knob, its impossible to set because it keeps moving from the hour to the minute so you can never get the time right. If by a small miracle the time is set right, it is completely wrong when you switch the ignition of and on again!!!! Does anyone know what the problem is because it driving me mad!!! Thanks Scott
  6. Hi there, I have just finished repairing a boxster S 2001 but i just can't get the bonnet for follow the entire curve of the wings. It is perfect at the top and bottom but seems to be high along the edges!!! Does anyone know a way to get it to fit properly????? I still looks very good and the gaps are spot on. Thanks Scott
  7. HI, Sorry to be the one asking all the questions but as i'm assembling the front end of my boxster i could really do with an exploded diagram showing where everything goes. ie wires, pipes etc... Can anyone help!!!! Thanks Scott
  8. Hi, I am just repairing a 2001 Boxster S and its just ready for painting but i cannot get the headlights to fit nicely in the wings. Does anyone know the best technique to getting them to fit??? Any advice will be gratefully received!!!!! Thanks! Scott
  9. Hi, I have just bought a boxster S that i am repairing! I have to replace the drivers and passenger airbags but i'm not sure of the correct procedure. Does anyone have any pictures showing how to take out the passenger airbag and how to remove the drivers airbag wire?? Thanks Scott
  10. The car is a 1998 2.5 with full service history but well out of warranty!! They garage that diagnosed the problem had a car with 20k miles with the same problem!! I never drove it hard and looked after it very carefully. I am now doubting whether i will ever buy another Porsche!!!
  11. I just wanted to let all those people know that my 2.5 Boxster engine went a few weeks ago :( :( :( :( I have had the car about 10 months and it has done 50k miles. It was my pride and joy and something i had strived for since a little boy. The engine started to make a very small intermittent noise, i thought nothing of it and got a new fan belt fitted and got a dreaded call from the garage. The noise was awful and sounded like metal to metal contact!!!! It turns out the bearing on the intermediate shaft had gone and contaminated the whole engine!!!! I'm gutted and very disappointed. So my reccommendation is get your warranty up to date!!!! Yours very gutted
  12. Hi Does anyone have a picture or scetch of the boxster engine showing where everything is??? I am trying to see where the intermediate cam sits and how it works!!!! Thanks Scott
  13. My 98 2.5 car is currently at a garage with the sump off. They have found steel metal fragments in the sump and suspect the timing chain has gone on right hand side (UK drivers side). Has anyone heard of inherent problems with timing chain falures or intermediate cam shaft?????? Its only covered 50k miles and been fully serviced?? Cheers Scott
