Hello,
GREAT forum! I just bought a '97 Boxster and see 0765 written a couple times on the manual, but no sure reference to radio code. I installed new dash speakers yesterday and they worked until I hit a bump. Turned off the radio and they came back on...only to go out again. I want to remove the radio to see if a connection is loose, but want to verify radio code. I followed your directions and have:
Model # R2896
Serial# V5007697
Any help? Any reason for dash speakers to not work, but doors do?
Thank you so much for any direction.
CDR-210 dash speakers stopped working

Hello all,
I just replaced the dash speakers in my 1997 Boxster with Alpines and all was well for about an hour. They went out (door speakers work, though) but came back on after I turned the radio off/on. A few minutes later, they went out completely.
I pulled the radio and all connectors are tight, speaker wires are good, fuses good but no change...just the muffled subs working. I DID find a disconnected blue/brown wire with a connector on the end inside the radio housing, but see no where it would plug.
Could it be radio head? Amp in the trunk? I hear differing opinions of which powers the dash speakers. Any ideas?
Thank you!
