  1. Ok just found the connector on the wiring diagram. It is labeled as "automated exhaust gas recirculation examination" and is shown just as a connector with nothing connected to it, so I have nothing to worry about.
  2. Thanks Ahsai. I did see the holder as well. I searched for any information about a diagnostic connector but the only thing I found was for the OBD port. Do you have a link with any more information? Is there a tool I can get to connect to this port?
  3. Hi all. First post here after buying my 911 this spring. I recently had a problem with the engine quitting after getting up to operating temperature which I solved after reading some posts here. It was the crankshaft position sensor. While I was looking into the problem I found a connector the was not connected to anything. It is on the passenger side, in the engine compartment just in front of the taillight. It is a six pin connector with only 3 of the connections populated. There is a holder for the connector but no mating connector is there. The holder is the same one that has the connectors for the O2 cat sensors. All the lights are working except for the high mounted rear brake light above the spoiler. 1999 996 cabriolet C2 The first photo is the connector, the second photo are the wires connected to it going into the wire loam.
