I have a '99 996 Cab. I'd like to remove the rear seats. Are there any posts on how to do this? If not, can anyone give me some help? Thanks.

OBD II codes? For what model year?
Did you look at the the Quick Menu -> OBD II P-Codes?
Thanks, Loren. I didn't see the Quick Menu. I have a 1999 Cab. The codes I needed were in the list off the Quick Menu.
Thanks again for your quick response.

Does anyone know where I can get a complete list of diagnostic codes along with their respective descriptions for the 996 series?
Thanks in advance.

My 2002 C4S is coming out of factory warranty in about 3 weeks.
I have no known issues ( looks dry underneath ). It is not due for service for 4 more months.
Has 24000 km ( 15000 mi ). I just shelled out for a 3 year extended warranty beyond the factory one.
I did all my own work on my old SC so it bugs me to pay others for service. The last oil change cost me over $500 (cdn). On the other hand I knew this car wasn't going to be cheap to own when I bought it. Should I take it in for a check up just in case in the next few days? What do you think?
I wish I had gotten an extended warranty. I had to pay to have my transmission replaced right after the warranty expired. I would have it checked by an independent shop - ask around for recommendations. Then if they find anything, you can take it in to the dealer for repair. Good Luck!

Those sound like the same symptoms I had when my transmission conked out. I have a 1999 996 Cab. The transmission went south at 36,000 miles. I'm the second owner of the car (I bought it with 29K on it), and I don't know how it was maintained or driven before I got it. I recommend taking it to the dealer. They can tell immediately if it is the transmission. If so, the only remedy is to replace the whole thing. I paid about $6000 for a Porsche rebuilt transmission and the labor. Good luck, maybe it is something else.
