  1. Thanks Loren, I would probably bet a dollar that the buckle has not been done, and maybe the light has been removed because of the fault, that it doesn't go out. So I am not sure still whether that is the real cause of the Code 30, as the buckles seem to throw different numbers, though it might be an AUS model thing. It is possible that with fixing the seat-belt buckle, fixing the possible bag frame in the wheel, and making sure the other airbag connections are secure, it all might just come good. Slowly working through all the jobs and fixes needed on this car.
  2. So only managed to see a black square of tape expertly placed over the Airbag light (ON all the time), only because of driving it in the sun with the top down. Been concentrating on other parts of the car. Any-who, that has lead to seeing that the Seatbelt light doesn't appear at all, and closely related, the horn didn't have a fuse in it at all. So this has brought up a question, the Codes reported, the electrical drawings (Bentley), ....while they say "passenger" or "driver" side, does this in fact relate to the left and right side of the car when it is the probably more common "left-hand drive"? Code 30 Ignition Circuit, side airbag passenger................is that actually the right side? This will not reset with the Durametric. I looked at the airbag connector in the left door, but now I am thinking it may actually relate to the other side of the car, i.e. LHD passenger Interestingly, the Airbag module wiring, Passenger Side Belt Lock, that wire is cut at the plug and a grafted in wire (plug connected) heads off under the dash somewhere (yet to be traced). So that Br/Bl wire say passenger, but maybe it relates to the right hand side of the car, in this case the drivers seat. BTW, the left seat, (passenger), does not have a wire at the buckle, but I think maybe the RHD ROW, or Australian RHD cars didn't have that anyway. Or has been replaced with the wrong buckle. So maybe the Airbag light was covered to avoid looking for a fault, might be a plug. Could it be related to the seat-belt buckle, again patched to avoid fixing it properly? The light doesn't even go with the self-test, so could be a bulb. I have read that the seat belt buckle may not be included in the Airbag ignition circuit for this region. Horn didn't have a fuse in it. Relay operates with the horn pad, but no horns, so maybe bad horns. The fuse may also have been removed if it had that bad horn pad issue and going off on its own.
  3. A quick not entirely successful update, but still something. Was checking the roof pump fluid level and fixing a rear window reg. After putting it back together, the clam would not work, so cleared the time-out fault and did a calibration, the roof then worked completely. Checked the alarm status, roof up still a double beep with the interior sensor reported, but, roof down now there is no single beep that used to be there. Tested opening the center compartment, alarm went off, hooray.
  4. Thanks Loren, The Durametric reported 2 alarm options, 32 and 48, but the 48 report info indicated type 32. Both had Fault code 32, Passenger Compartment Monitoring Sensor.. the I48 also indicated, "short to ground". Same code I got before swapping out the module, and after....996.618.210.02 Any thoughts welcome, Cheers
  5. Thanks Loren, I'll get it plugged in again this week and check, ........my laptop broke so I have to get someone else's The alarm wasn't really a high priority at the moment, but the windshield is being replaced, so if that provides any needed access at the time to the LED.
  6. 1999 C2 Cab (Australia) Slowly working though a bunch of repairs and tidies, servicing, rattles etc, on this recently acquired. Alarm does the double beep with the roof up and the single with it down. Last time checked with the Durametric it indicated the sensor. So got a 2nd hand sensor from the UK, and tried it, no different, no idea if it is working or if testing it is possible. With the roof down it takes it out of circuit, so it is maybe something else. Maybe that code is generic for an interior switch somewhere. It has had a replacement stereo and amp. Whether or not any of the required switches are not closed, would cause a fault....but I am sure that the red Alarm LED on the center of the dash should flash, get nothing from it at all. The Owners Manual seems to say no LED is a fault, but the Bentley book 96-9 indicates it will flash. Maybe if someone has experienced this, with the LED not flashing, might be a shortcut to a fix.
