  1. So basically, new to the board not new to a Boxster. I own a 99 base 5 speed. I have been having an issue when I start the car. It will make a certain noise for about 1 or 2 seconds and then go away. It doesn't happen every day, just when she sits for a while...It sounds like a "whirr" kind of noise. No grinding, but does sound like my starter. I have tried in vain to search this noise out. So far I have been unlucky. So I figured I'd ask other owners. Anyone else have this noise and what was the solution? My car does have 105,000 miles on it. US based car. Thanks in advance!
