  1. I was out for a drive. It started to rain and my roof wouldn't go up. I had to manually put it up. When I got home I found the parking brake switch faulty. I replaced it and checked the fluid. The fluid was low so I topped it up. I tried to use the switches on the dash and the gear above me tries to move a little but that's all. If I extend the latch out and then hit the button it will fully close. But it still won't open. I hooked up my PIWIS to calibrate and I'm getting Function inactive, end position not reached. I metered the 3 micro switches in the latch and they are all testing fine. Any ideas what to do next?

  2. Oh my it just keeps getting better. Porsche of London is saying they have all the brake parts but get this. The service manager said there is no brake shoes available in world. Porsche part or aftermarket. Really? Then what's this? https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/porsche,2013,cayenne,3.0l+v6+diesel+turbocharged,1504586,brake+&+wheel+hub,parking+brake+shoe,10177

  3. Here’s my dilemma. Two days ago the dealer shipped the cayenne I bought. The driver drove the suv onto the carrier and even started it yesterday. Today when it got there it wouldn’t start. We boosted it and it even changed the battery. It will not start. The electric parking brake light is blinking on the dash and on the switch. When I turn the key nothing happens. The stereo, signals, interior lights, locks and unlocks all work. The remote fob works too. But the horn, headlights, and the heater controls do not work. Could the pyro link be blown?

What about flying, then drive the car home... if you feel reasonably comfortable with your due diligence...  The trouble with that is the seller knows he's got ya so you better have all your ducks in  a row before you hope that jet...  That's how I brought my car home, it was a memorable drive, 19 hours straight through.

Is your seller a dealer or private party?  Maybe you can find a local Porsche person to look at it.  For a fee you can find an agent that will do a pre-buy for you as well.  When you say a 9 hour drive is that one way?  I'd ask for a 100 pictures, maybe not a 100, but with an i-phone pictures are no big deal.  I'd still start out with a CarFax then work your way down the food chain.

The annual mileage is really low, which can be a good thing, but it must be a cream puff because it spent a lot of time sitting.  Just remember there's a lot of Porsches for sale, you might be better  off to find one locally.  Although anything locally will have been driven in the snow?  Or do most owner's put there car up in winter storage?

Keep us posted, it's an interest dilema...  Oh, is this going to be a Sunday go meeting car or D/D?  Sorry for rambling, another idea is to see if your seller will meet you half way to reduce your drive time.  If he's hot to trot he might go for that...

HI! Sorry I took long to reply. Thanks for the great info. My girlfriend is going there to visit family there, so she said her brother will go look at with her. This will be just a toy. I am looking to sell my CTT and get a Cayenne diesel for a daily driver.
