  1. Have been told by local specialist this code comes up when the air con loses power and its nothing to worry about. Battery was disconnected not long ago B)
  2. Anyone had this code 9115 come up before ? Its something to do with the air conditioning control module Andy
  3. Got a new MAF today under warranty. Problem seems to have gone. Can start enjoying the car again :renntech:
  4. Can anyone with a 996TT thats had a MAF failure let me know if the sensor looked as good as new when examined or was covered in crap ? Also how old was it before it went Cheers Andy
  5. I couldn't belive they didn't change the plug either. Plugs have only been in for about 6 months. At full throttle the car runs fine but I would say at very low revs its a bit hesitant. I noticed that putting the air con on seemed to smooth out the revs............weird ?
  6. Took it to a local indy and they plugged their PWIS into it and still no error codes. Did show a misfire on cylinder 5 only though ? My OPC changed the Coil Pack under warranty but not the plug. When I got the car back it was still missing a bit but not as much. Will have to try the plug next. All sensors were checked and all were ok Does the spark plug sound like the problem ?
  7. Thanks for the prompt reply Loren Sure I read somewhere that the MAF can give lumpy idle ? Have checked codes and nothing has come up. Where's a good place to start looking for intake leaks? How long should the MAFS last ?. Mines 7 years old and has 42k on the clock
  8. My 996TT has developed a bit of a hiccup, stutter on idle. It does it when its cold and warm. I’m getting NO CELs. When driving I sometimes feel the odd hesitation but it still goes like stink. Been doing a bit of searching and it sounds like the MAF to me. It’s a 2001 model and I think its on the original MAF. Will this be covered on warranty (UK) ? Not sure they’ll change it if there’s no error codes. It runs out in August and would like to get some money back on it before it ends. Even though there is a definite lumpy idle Cheers Andy ;)
  9. Has anyone got these pipes on their 996TT ? What are the pro's and con's of installing these pipes............I know they are noisey Andy
  10. I'm in the same situation. I'm just about to install my fabspeed. Have been looking at the bolts holding the exhaust onto the turbo's and they look very rusty. Have tried giving them a quick turn but they are solid. Have u got any tips re getting these off. Did you heat them up ? Andy
  11. Had a look at it today and it looked a bit dirty. Gave it a squirt of wd40, wiped it off and that got all the grime off. Put a very light layer of oil on it. Took it out for a blast today and its fine. No warning lights. Will keep an eye on any grit getting caught on it. Thanks again Andy
  12. Yes the manual switch works. I'm going to give it a quick clean with some light oil and see how I get on. If that doesn't work it's off to the opc. Andy
  13. Yesterday I was just coming onto a motorway and the spoiler was on its way up and then the spoiler warning light came on. It then didn't come back down when I slowed down. When I got home I used the spolier button to raise and lower the spoiler which worked fine ? It cant be the hydraulics so is it the relay switches inside the car ? Is this a common problem? And the most important question is it covered under warranty ? Cheers Andy
  14. Were you able to clear it with the durametric or the dealer had to do the resetting? Durametric couldn't clear the code as it was something to do with the alarm system. Porsche had to do it with their computer.
  15. The indicator wasn't working due to a bent pin in the headlight connector which I fixed myself. Took car to Porsche and this code 25 comes up if you disconnect the battery. He cleared the code and now ECU has no error codes. Happy..............................ish
  16. Also the front left indicator in the main light isn't working now. Could this be related ?????
  17. 2001 996TT UK car This code has only come up after being at an OPC. I'm really pi**ed off
  18. Found this code : ALARM Code 25 W lead ?????? What would could cause this ?
  19. B) just for future reference in case anyone else has the same problem. Porsche had a really good dig about in the car and the instrument cluster was fine. They traced the fault to bad wiring in the engine bay. It took them about 8 hours to find but saw 2 wires which had worn and they were both live and was causing the problems. Hope no one does become victim to this Andy
  20. The voltage drop may have been caused when the alarm went off. The car had been left for a week and a half and then I set off the alarm. OPC didn't have enough time today to fix it but the next thing they were going to do was replace the instrument cluster. Big thankyou to Loren for your help Andy
  21. Durametric got this code : Instrument cluster Current fault codes 9142 Failure cruise control warning light status not present -------------------------------- OPC thought it was the light switch too but changed it and didn't fix it. Any ideas ? Cruise control is fine?
  22. Would a blown fuse or broken switch throw up a diagnostics code? Going to plug my Durametric lead in it tommorow, will this show anything ? Andy
  23. I'm assuming its not a common fault with the light switch. I'm taking it into my OPC on Wednesday so I'll see what they say. Cheers for all the replies. Got no replies on my UK forum Andy
  24. The alarm seems to be ok now. The remote is working fine. But when the engine is turned off, key out of ignition, as soon as I open the door I get the warning bell as if I had left the lights on ???????
