  1. Having problem with my 957 rear lid/hatch. When I push the electronic close button, it closes but does not fully latch. (It will unlatch itself and opens up a little bit with beeping sound). I can physically push the lid and keep it latched, but because the second latch isn’t engaged, the car thinks the door is open. I replaced #86 and #84 with brand new units, but the problem persists. I’m noticing that the #86 does not engage at all and stays retracted at all time regardless of what I do with the rear lid and its latch. Anybody had the same issue? What did you do to fix it? I’m open to ideas.
  2. I’m having the same issue. Changed every unit around the trunk.. still the issue remains.
  3. I have an android head unit installed on my 08 base Cayenne. Everything works as it should, sound comes out nice, and there is no apparent issue in daily usage. But I'm noticing that when I hook it up with Durametric pro, it shows that I have CAN comfort off error, and it says that it's running on single wire. I did the digging under the carpets on both the driver and the passenger side, and there is no sign of water intrusion or disconnection. Is aftermarket headhunt suppose to give you CANBUS error? or is there anything I can change to remedy it? I'm thinking it may be the CANBUS decoder that came with the head unit, but there is no way for me to know without buying another one just so I can test it. Anyone experienced the same?
  4. Hello, so my 08 base never really had a drivability issue. However, after purchasing durametric, I found out that there are underlying issues of CAN comfort line. After doing some research, I decided to go to the dealer and get the gateway system firmware updated, and resync the modules. The dealer wasn’t able to get the CAN comfort code to go away, but during the process, a tech mentioned there was an issue with rear control module being frozen, so he had to disconnect the battery, and reconnect it which did the trick, and all was good. Fast forward several weeks, I’ve noticed my passenger side mirror doesn’t tilt when in reverse. I never use this feature, but I decided to dig around and find other things that does’t work. As a result, I have found that my puddle light (under the side mirrors) don’t light up anymore, as well as the sunroof stopped working. None of them are really necessary in daily driving, but I just wanted to know if there is anything that I should look into to remedy the provlem.
  5. So I currently have these fault codes on my 957: 470: CAN gate way single wire operation (open circuit) 1299: Gateway no signal 1336: CAN comfort off I'm lead to believe I have a disconnection/corrosion in the wiring along the CAN comfort wire (high or low). Can someone I understand a lot of the CAN wires run underneath the passenger carpet, but can someone pin point which wires to look for exactly? Also, I was not able to find the workshop message for fault code 470. If anyone have an access, it would be great if you can share.
  6. So I've been having trouble communicating to many modules on my car with Durametric, and all the fault codes are pointing at CAN fault. I took it to the dealer to remedy it but they were unable to pinpoint the issue with PIWIS either. After a series of research, I'm lead to believe that the car has a bad gateway control module. I've been doing some searching, but all I found out is that the gateway module is located underneath the passenger instrument panel under the glove box, but I wasn't able to find how to actually replace them. It doesn't look like a hard job, but can someone walk me through the steps on how to remove and replace the gateway module without breaking my car? Also, once the change is done, does it require PIWIS programming? or is it something that car will adapt, or something I can do with Durametric?
  7. If there is a fuse number that's worth checking or replacing (to reset), please let me know.
  8. I have a 2008 Cayenne Base, and I just did the daytime running light upgrade that fits right into the existing parking lights. After some fiddling around, I managed to install them, but passenger side parking light doesn't come on (and the dashboard throws a "check front side lights" error). I thought it may be the bulb itself, but when I tried to put the original bulb back in, it didn't light up either. The direction lights work so I don't think it's the harness that's the problem. Any idea what may be the issue?
  9. I just talked to the dealer but he isn't sure what he has to do to correct it. Apparently he will go through trial and error to figure out the fix. Do you perhaps know what menu (in PIWIS), and where, and what exactly has to be done?
  10. Thank you. Is there a way to do this without PIWIS or PST2? Anyway that can be done with Durametric or VCDS (pins-bridged)? If I happen to go to the dealer about this matter, what should I tell them? Should I be honest and tell them everything I did and tried? or just play dumb and let them figure it out?
  11. Hi. I just changed the instrument cluster on my 2008 Cayenne. The cluster was from the same year Cayenne, but I'm having issues now. First off, I now have "TPMS System not active" warning on my cluster, even though I have TPMS sensors installed on my car and was working just fine before the swap out other than that, everything works as it should be. I tried to code it on Durametric, but the current coding section for tire pressure is blank and I cannot make any changes. This is the same on the Electrical System module. I ran the fault codes and this is what I have: Instrument Cluster: 1229: Gateway - No signal/communication 459: PCM2 - No signal/communication Gateway: 1336: CAN comfort OFF 459: PCM2 Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) 1042: Control module not coded Can anybody help me with this? Edit: So far, I tried clearing the codes (but immediately comesback) and I tried to reset the cluster by removing and replacing fuse #40
