  1. Thanks Loren. Do you know who makes batteries that would fit the 996? Does Sears make a good DieHard for it? Any others you'd recommend? Thanks! Scott
  2. 2000 996 C2 Cab, 6 speed. My poor car has been sitting idle for well over a month now (crappy weather, and in between houses), without the trickle charger in. As expected my battery was completely dead. I hooked up my truck to jump it, and it gets power but doesnt even try to start. All that happens when I turn the key is dashboard lights light up and the passenger window cycles up and down about 1/2". No engine clicking, no turning over, etc. Question is, with a jump attached does this mean its something other than the battery? I'd hate to have my car towed to the dealer to find out its the battery. Any other ideas? Like I said all that happens when I turn the key (em brake on, clutch engaged) is dash lights, beeping sounds, and passenger window going up and down!! Thanks for any ideas...
  3. Noticed the Cayenne was leaning to the right, got a warning on the display of an Air Suspension Failure, and now my front right tire is flat. Of course we were going to the beach tomorrow so now we have to take the Dodge Ram. Question: Can an air suspension cause a flat? IE if the suspenion wasnt absorbing shock, could that lead to the tire going flat from too much banging? Would it be reasonable to ask Porsche to replace the tire? We'll be gone to the beach in NC for a week, but I'll have to bring it in when we get back. Thanks for any advice! Scott
  4. Thanks Gert! I actually figured it out last night -- just like a drywall anchor! :) Scott
  5. Trying to install the running boards but running into a problem... There are 6-sided holes in the lower frame and in the running board kit are the pictured 6-sided inserts -- they slide right in (but dont stay). The screws are meant to go into these to hold the running board in place. I thought maybe they were like drywall screws where they expanded when tightened but no go. They just fall out. Any ideas??
  6. I just received my running boards from Carnewal -- does anyone have installation instructions for them? TIA Scott
  7. I just received my steel front skid plate from Carnewal -- does anyone have installation instructions for it? TIA Scott
  8. I have a TT with the tow hitch. What do I need to tow? I need to get a trailer to tow a large lawnmower (though I may just get a car trailer so I can use it for both). What's needed to actually tow? I searched but didn't find any specifics. I think some sort of adapter is needed ? Thanks Scott
  9. Anyone have directions for clear sidemarker install? If not I'm going to give it a whirl myself soon. I'll take pics and write up some instructions. Sounds like the front wheels need to be removed and wheel wells need to be pulled back. Scott
  10. Loren the board looks great so far. I'm sure I'll be posting questions soon!! Scott B)
