My front hood is stuck shut and I have read many of the threads on this issue. I have a 2002 Boxster S and have attached a photograph of what is presently visible of my front trunk latch. Both the key fob and the drivers door sill button do initiate the locking mechanism as I can hear a click. I have tried thoroughly looking for the cable release in the passenger front wheel well with no luck, and I believe that there is no solid cable on the trunk release that runs from the latch located at the drivers door sill; that was true in previous years as I understand. Gently prying or pushing the hood down in conjunction with releasing the latch mechanism doesn’t do the trick. And it looks obvious that this has been an issue previously on this car, given the condition of the passenger front wheel well liner. All suggestions shy of a cutting torch or a sawzall appreciated.
