  1. Can someone post the correct part number for the oxygen sensor for bank 1 ahead of catalytic converter for a 99' Boxster.

    Sure, here you go:

    1997-1999 986 Boxster 2.5L

986-606-126-01 (all four sensors are the same.)

Here is the best site I have found regarding O2 sensors for the Boxster. It is Mike Focke's site.

    Thanks KB!

  2. Hi,

We are from Germany, new here. We're currently in the process of buying the original parts (see title) because we want to re-engineer them, if the parts are the same among all models it would be benefitial for us.

Here are 2 questions that I need help with:

    1) Is there any difference between the front & rear diffusers of the regular 958 vs. the Turbo or other models?

    2) Attached photos, are these actually the same parts or is one the front and one the rear? If someone has a standalone photo of the rear diffuser (aka the rear lip under the bumper), it would be great.

    Thank you!

    Thorsten

Just confirmes the picture to the right with the plastic piece in black is the front plate for Cayenne S. So again its not for the rear!

  3. Driving yesterday and while going 15-30mph i hear this very loud metal grinding noise coming from the front wheels. It sounds like metal is being dragged on the ground or metal being scraped up against something in maybe the brakes. When driving faster the noise get louder and then I heard a loud can crashing thud also coming from the front of the car and then it all went away. I though maybe wheel bearings but ad them replaced about 30K miles ago unless they can just go bad at anytime. I dont know where to start as the sounds were pretty bad. The car drives fine at the moment.

  4. I think your going to have to play with it. There

are some nuts and bolts to get to with the window up.

The cover for the door comes off with the window down.

    Paul

hEY pAUL, just got done installing the window regulator and it works perfect now! pretty simple. All i can say is if anyone is having a propblem with there window not lowering or rising when the door is either closed or open from the inside and can push the window down with using their hands it is the window regulator and not those microswitches.

  5. I would just call Sunset Imports. I think the Porsche parts guy is Steve.

Have your Vin number in case he needs it.

    1-800-346-0182

What really cracked me up is the part is made in

Checkolavakia. Should be something around $75.

    Paul

Hello Paul, I replaced both inner and outer micro switches and now just got done replacing the door latch meachnism complete and the window still does not lower to be able to close door properly. I did notice that there is one small micro switch to the left of the inner micro, this is the one that has the white color head going into the black micro above to the left of the door handle removed. What else could it be?

  6. I found out that it was the door latch and not the

micro-switch that needs to be replaced. The door

latch will wear out from use.

Here is the link to replacing a 997 microswitch and the next link

continues on to the door latch.

    Paul

Thanks Paul, I just got done replacing both inner and outer door micro switch and my window still does not lower when opening from both outside and inside on my 996. So i think i will have to replce the door latch mechanism. Would you or any board member happen to have the part number for the passenger side door on a 02' 996?
