Can someone post the correct part number for the oxygen sensor for bank 1 ahead of catalytic converter for a 99' Boxster.
Sure, here you go:
1997-1999 986 Boxster 2.5L
986-606-126-01 (all four sensors are the same.)
Here is the best site I have found regarding O2 sensors for the Boxster. It is Mike Focke's site.
Thanks KB!

Anyone have a slight delay/jerkiness when the engine starts back up using the start stop fucntion?? I have been told by dealer that this is normal and some 2011 Cayenne's and Panamera's have more or less jerkiness before the engines fires back up after letting up on the brakes. Feedback from 2011 Cayenne owners needed.

You are correct, there is some drilling involved. You must attach the metal skid plate to the factory plastic one. In fact, there is a whole DIY article on this website.
Thanks Lotto, can you confirm that the factory plastic can come off without removing the complete front bumper?
Here's the link.

The parts list does not show any screws holding them in (like the earlier Cayennes) - so I would see if it snaps into place from the wheel well side.
2011 Turbo having trouble finding clips any pictures?

Hello, I am picking up my new Cayenne S this saturday and will be ordering the front skid plate from suncoast. Has anyone here installed it. On suncoast website they state that there is drilling required. Thanks
Thanks, do you know if the procedure is the same for the rear protection plate as well? Any factory instructions for this process for new skid plate.

Need to replace tensioner pulley , did search could not find anything.

Hi,
We are from Germany, new here. We're currently in the process of buying the original parts (see title) because we want to re-engineer them, if the parts are the same among all models it would be benefitial for us.
Here are 2 questions that I need help with:
1) Is there any difference between the front & rear diffusers of the regular 958 vs. the Turbo or other models?
2) Attached photos, are these actually the same parts or is one the front and one the rear? If someone has a standalone photo of the rear diffuser (aka the rear lip under the bumper), it would be great.
Thank you!
Thorsten
Just confirmes the picture to the right with the plastic piece in black is the front plate for Cayenne S. So again its not for the rear!
-
My dealer tells me that the optional front skid plate, which is the one to the left of the picture are all the same for all new 2011 cayenne. The plastic one in your picture is not for the rear

Driving yesterday and while going 15-30mph i hear this very loud metal grinding noise coming from the front wheels. It sounds like metal is being dragged on the ground or metal being scraped up against something in maybe the brakes. When driving faster the noise get louder and then I heard a loud can crashing thud also coming from the front of the car and then it all went away. I though maybe wheel bearings but ad them replaced about 30K miles ago unless they can just go bad at anytime. I dont know where to start as the sounds were pretty bad. The car drives fine at the moment.

I think your going to have to play with it. There
are some nuts and bolts to get to with the window up.
The cover for the door comes off with the window down.
Paul
hEY pAUL, just got done installing the window regulator and it works perfect now! pretty simple. All i can say is if anyone is having a propblem with there window not lowering or rising when the door is either closed or open from the inside and can push the window down with using their hands it is the window regulator and not those microswitches.
-
Hi Paul< i just double checked and it is pluged in.
-
I just got done installing a window regulator on the paadenger side of my 03 C4S. Everything went perfect except for when i went to start the car he airbag light came on. I discinnected the battery before i started work on the door. Removed side air bag and set off to the side like normal. Never had an airbag light go off. Anything I can you?
-
Paul or anyone else , when removing the window regulator is it better to do it with the window in the up or down position?
-
The latch fixed my problem so it must be a wire problem.
Paul
Paul, just bought a new window regulator because i read here that if you can push the window down and has a lot of play then the regulator had to be replaced. Im going to try this once i read up on how to and then will see what happens.

I would just call Sunset Imports. I think the Porsche parts guy is Steve.
Have your Vin number in case he needs it.

What really cracked me up is the part is made in
Checkolavakia. Should be something around $75.
Paul
Hello Paul, I replaced both inner and outer micro switches and now just got done replacing the door latch meachnism complete and the window still does not lower to be able to close door properly. I did notice that there is one small micro switch to the left of the inner micro, this is the one that has the white color head going into the black micro above to the left of the door handle removed. What else could it be?
-
I found out that it was the door latch and not the
micro-switch that needs to be replaced. The door
latch will wear out from use.
Here is the link to replacing a 997 microswitch and the next link
continues on to the door latch.

Thanks Paul, I just got done replacing both inner and outer door micro switch and my window still does not lower when opening from both outside and inside on my 996. So i think i will have to replce the door latch mechanism. Would you or any board member happen to have the part number for the passenger side door on a 02' 996?
-
Passenger door window does not go down anymore when opening the door from both inside and outside. I read on the board that it is the inner and outer door microswitch. Does anyone have a diagram as to the exact location for these switches. Thanks

I have 24,000 miles on a water pump that i replaced last year. Not loosing any coolant, but just noticed this past week that at the very bottom where the torx screw is there is always a tiny dry spot of coolant. Could this be a sign that it is failing? How often should the water pump be replaced?
-
no check engine lights at all, has new battery and all the light interior and exterior work perfectly, when trying to start the car it seems to crank for about a second and then dies out and shakes a bit while cranking.
-
Bad gas? Water in gas?
Bad fuel pump or clogged filter?
Bad crankshaft position sensor?
Loren, where is the crankshaft position sensor? and how can i tell if the fuel pump is bad? Can the fuel pump be replaced DIY ...and what clogged filter are you mentioning? Thanks
