  1. Greetings fellow Porsche owners. I purchased a 1999 Porsche Boxster last year and since the Winter has arrived it's time to upgrade the stereo system in it. Currently it has a AM/FM cassette. :cursing: Looking for your thoughts on which system would be best. I've visited Crutchfield.com and they have 4 models that they say will fit my Porsche. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-YL5Do5mxfd6/c...?g=143350&avf=Y Also a Pac OEM2 is required. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-YL5Do5mxfd6/c...w.asp?i=127OEM2 All the helpful advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. I know allot of you have upgraded many things to your Porsches and although I don't post much I have read some of the great tips you have had to offer. I've also seen in some of the pics of your Porsches that you have already have upgraded systems. Anyone interested in some used Cassette tapes?
  2. Most vechicles also have drain holes. While your in there double check to see if any of them have become clogged.
  3. Thanks everyone the job was completed successfully. :clapping: Being a first timer doing this I took my time. Lets say three hours this time. I also put the gauge cluster back in "not fully assembled to get set the needles right". If I ever have to do it again it would probably only take about an hour and a half.
  4. A big Thanks to Tool Pants. :clapping: Sorry if I didn't find it. I'll look some more. You can delete this if it's out of place. :) Can you give a poor soul a point in the right direction. I couldn't find anything on how to pull the instrument cluster out. :(
  5. I have Perilles on my Porsche now and I can't stand them. No offence but the tires can't handle the torque of the car. I am for ever spinning out on the rear. It's no fun coming off a red light light only to do a 180 making a left. Don't tell me I'm driving my car to hard either. I expect more from my Porsche than my Jaguar. I'm in the process of getting 18 and 18.5 on the Porsche and gonna go with the Bridgestones S-03's. If this is a mistake , let me know now. What othe rtires would be better? Thanks Guys just a Porsche driver. :drive:
  6. I ordered some New Gauge Faces for my 1999 Porsche Boxster. Aluminum and a set of Aluminum Gauge Bezels. The Bezels are straight forward. No I didn't put them on yet. I'de like to ask if anyone knows the right procedure for removing the Gauge faces? I don't want to mess things up by pulling and hacking away on them. Also this has been the most informative site on Boxsters so far. :clapping:
