  1. hey there! i recently took my 2002 boxster S to the porsche dealership to get the 50k mile service done. when i picked up my car the tech told me i will prob. need to get the clutch replaced. now-how will i know when it is def. time to get this replaced and how long do you think it can last? what problems should i be making sure to look for to know somthing is seriously wrong? also- my clutch is not semi-hard to press in compared to a VW golf i have driven before. this is normal i figured b/c a porsche is a high performance car compared to a VW. is this correct? only twice.. since i have had the car... the clutch wouldnt let me in first gear and also the 2nd gear has grinded a couple of times. i have had the car for 3 years now. if you could please help me i would appriciate it greatly! thanks alot! -Amanda
