  1. Unfortunately the check engine light came on with the same codes P1123 and P1125. Thanks
  2. The Durametric tools seem very expensive. What one would you recommend for all round use? I also see icarsoft brands that i had for my mercedes. What would be the best value make and model from all the brands? Thanks
  3. new sensor has been ordered cheaply off ebay. Any resources on how to install it? I checked online, but not any that detailed. Thanks Chris
  4. Update - i reset the code after blowing out the purge valve and the check engine light has not come back on yet. Keeping my fingers crossed. I ordered one off ebay for $45 as a backup which is much cheaper than taking to Porsche for diagnostic.
  5. 1999 Porsche 996 Cab 2 wheel drive. My rear spoiler is only moving up and down on the drivers side. Any ideas on what to check or do to get both sides moving up and down? Thanks Chris
  6. I have a 2009 Cayenne S and when the car is warm and is turned off, it is difficult to get started again. I checked the air box after the motor and before the MAF. Any ideas? Would it be the starter? I would think it either turns on or not and not temperature dependant. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Chris
  7. Thanks but i do not have any of those tools to test those two issues. I guess its off to Porsche. Thanks anyways for your quick replies.
  8. I blasted the EVAP purge valve i believe - see pictures from left top of engine bay (i dont think it did anything). Not sure how to check the fuel pressure. I notice at idle the RPMs surges up and down a bit around the 1000 mark, but once moving the car seems to be running well. Am i to reset codes every time i do something to see if it worked? Getting frustrated. lol I wish i could get it fixed. Thanks Chris
  9. Thanks. I have the Bluedriver diagnostic tool and their top rated fix was to replace MAS. Next they have replace fuel pressure regulator, replace crankcase ventilation and replace EVAP. See picture attached. Any ideas of next best steps? Thanks Chris
  10. My check engine light came on and error codes P1123 and P1125 came up. I replaced the MAS, cleared the codes and the same codes came back on fairly quickly. Any ideas? Thanks Chris
  11. Thank you for the quick response and you are correct. I had to call Porsche and speak to a tech. The relay seems fine. I should have taken a picture for the next person. Any idea when the engine fan comes on? The engine is running around 180 and still no fan. Does it have to get very hot before the engine fan comes on? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks Chris
  12. Hi I am trying to find the engine compartment fan relay for my 1999 cab 996 2 wheel drive. I can't find it behind the back seats under the carpet as the convertible top is there. My engine fan is not coming on. The fuse is good and the fan works. I am guessing it is the relay? Does anyone know and maybe with pictures? Thanks Chris
