  1. Hi Team the starting issue is now fixed it was the starter motor.... however I still can't lock the doors.... I get a double beep
  2. Thanks for the heads up would the starter switch fault show up on a scan... haven't heard from the mechanic as yet
  3. Hi Team Very new to the 996 having previously owned both the 944 and 968 models. I've had the car since Nov 18 and no issues..... 135000km on the clock and recently serviced. Love it!!! My darling wife took my car (2000 Carrera 2) out for a drive today and after the obligatory coffee stop found the car wouldn't start. When she tried to lock it (with the key) the car unlocked itself. She had a full colour display on the instrument dash and the key turned but nothing happened. I've done a quick Dr Google and in reading noted that if your alarm double bleeps that is an indication of an alarm/immobiliser fault (?).... my car started doing that a couple of weeks ago. I would greatly appreciate your ideas/fixes.... noting the car is currently flat bedding to my mechanic. Many thanks Darren (New Zealand)
