  1. The roof is brand new, I changed it in June when I bought the car. The car is still doing it because I haven't had the time to see what the problem is. I definitely don't think it is a motor issue, since the all roof opens and closes without problems. It just "doesn't stop" when it should. I think I found someplace on the net where theysell the microswitch for $13. It is just a matter of taking apart the roof where the switch is and see what is wrong with it. When I get to it I'll take a few pictures and keep you all posted.
  2. I finally bought my first Porsche one month ago. It is a 1993 convertible. yesterday, when I closed the top, I noticed the driver's side latch made some noise and kept working when the top was already closed. I looked into some literature last night and I realized it is probably a microswitch: even if the top is succesfully latched the microswitch doesn't tell the motor to stop cramcking. It stops when you stop pressing the close/open switch. So, when I went to bed, I read some stuff on the two manual I have about the convertible top and the microswitches. This morning I was not surprised to see the warning light with the exclamation mark and the one for the top were both on. Now, everything works fine, the only problem is that when the top gets to the end of the closing process and latches down, the left side keeps going until you release the button. Do I need to change the microswitch? ANy of you has had a similar problem before?? Let me know, thanks, Paolo
