  1. For the 996, I do agree the lowers cannot likely be removed without damaging them. The uppers, however, can. Patrick You have pm
  2. Dharn Do you think I cold cut out the heat grids out of the old cushions and slice/install them into the gt3 cushions?
  3. I would say no...and I would ask why? The reason for the GT3 seats...lighter weight and better fit, why would you want to screw with them? You can certainly change out the back and bottom cushions as they are held in by velcro. Do not want to change the cushions or the fit of the GT3 seats, just want to try and heat them if I can. Was hoping they are heater strips in the stock seats like I have seen on other aftermarket seats. Also now wondering if all the power seats wires are running through the same heater harness which would make this hard to do. The heated strips will not add any major weight to the GT3 seats.
  4. I have searched for this particular answer but can not find it. I have heated seats currently, and am going to put in GT3 seats. So my wiring is stock and in place. Question is I can I take the heater elements out of my current seat/back cushions and install them into the GT3 seats. Obviously the harness would swith over but I don't know how the elements are installed in the stock seats. Can I remove them from the stock cushions or are they built in somehow as one unit. Any help would be appreciated. Vince
  5. Car has tiptronic so it was not a stalll. Just changed fuel filter and checked fuel, clean and OK before this happened. This really felt like the ECU took over and shut the car down.
  6. Hey all, New to the posting at this sight, however have been reading Rennlist for a while. I have a 2000 C4 3.4L w/ tip SC. Had to take my EVO SC off to get pass the visual for CA emissions a week ago. Put it all back togehter w/ re-mapped ECU and runs fine for over 120 miles. Filled it up at the gas station with some overfllow going at the vent tube. I have overfilled before with never any problems. Don't mean to overfill but some gas nozzles are just funny that way. Put the cap back on tight, smell no fumes and take off. Get to the light, and while I am waiting car dies w/ a whole christmas tree effect of lights on the dash. Turn off the car and restart, everything is fine. No CEL, on OBD codes returned on my scanner, runs fine like nothing ever happened. I do not think it is related to the SC. Is there some type of safety feature with the fuel that maybe the car sensed the excess gas draining off from the fill up at the gas station and shut me down. Any clues would be helpful. Thanks, Vince
