  1. I want to get a roof rack for my 2001 996 coupe and would prefer to get an non-OEM item as the Porsche originals cost an arm and a leg. I was looking on the Thule site and they only seem to have them for the Cayenne. Any one know which brands fit?
  2. Ok, you can see some more photos of my car on my homepage
  3. Hi, This is my first post on this forum. I bought my 2001 Carrera 4 a couple of months ago and have been fustrated by the lack of Ipod intergration. My car has the PCM with a phone handset which really limited the options of where I could mount an Ipod and not have it get in my or my passengers way and yet still be able to control it. After seeing it in a local store a couple of weeks ago, I decided to bite the bullet and buy the Harman/Kardon drive&play. It's great that I can hide my Ipod away in the center arm rest and yet have full control of it. For the first couple of weeks I was using the built in wirless FM transmitter which at times gave poor sound quality. Today I pulled out the PCM unit and properly installed the unit with the RF modulator. The sound quality is so much better. I did not get any photos of the installation process, but here are some photos of the finished product. The display is mounted using a temporary adhesive I got with my old Garmin GPS. I used the same adhesive in my old BMW and managed to remove it without leaving any trace I mounted the controller by drilling holes through the fake rear window winder buttons and also ran the wire through the buttons.
