Scott, been there! After all the jazzerations with the new sensor his light still came back on. That's why I feel my problem is really is the O2 sensors. Do you know if a DIYer can replace them? Keoni

Scott, the reader returned this code:P1128 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 2 (Cylinders 1 - 3) - Rich Threshold I assuming, which I know it is wrong to assume <_< , that the problem is the O2 sensors. Keoni

Does anyone have any instructions on DIY for replacing the O2 sensors on a '99 986? Cleaned the MAF and the CEL stayed off for a month, then BAM it's on again. :angry: Will consider DIY in replacing the O2 's if not too difficult. Regards Keoni986

And my 2 cents is my 99 also does the same sound! Our local Boxster Guru says it's the lifters, don't worry about it! Keoni986

Yes, Tool Pants, that is exactly what I'm referring to! Why do I want to remove it? Well, just because it's there. I want to take things apart on the 986 to see what's underneath! So you think the fasteners are like the spoiler? Push in the center? Thanks! Keoni986

Is the removal of the fender baffles the same as the instructions for the rear spoiler? Does one use a drift tool or the flat end of a drill bit to push the plastic pins out? Not sure if I even used the correct description. They are located inside the door jams on the fenders. Are there any other types of fasteners besides the plastic fasteners? Thanks! Keoni986

:help: I noticed the rear fog light only lights up on the drivers side. Upon inspection of the pass. side I noticed a bulb missing. Can I assume the missing bulb is for the rear fog light since it does not light when switched on? Also if true, does anyone know the part number of the bulb? Thanks

:huh: Oh No they are not like that but more like a film residue that sometimes gets on the interior of the windshield. I'm NOT going to unglue the buggers, Thanks anyway!

Hi, I have a 986 and have noticed the inside of the headlights are a little fogged/burnt or have a slight film cast to them. Anyway to clean them? :drive:
