  1. I was carrying 4 wheels and tires in the back hatch which I had secured from rolling backwards. Unfortunately when I stopped suddenly a wheel rolled forward against the seat back, and the rear seat back behind on the passenger side gave way from the force. A black tab, with a red top popped out just behind the grab handle which would release the rear seat manually, and the back of the seat folded forward. I resecured the load, and dropped off the wheels. However now I cannot get the rear seat back to re-latch. Nothing I do will make that black/red tab go back down and engage the seat? Can I reset this myself or do I need to see the dealer, help?
  2. Nice car, I am thinking about Speed Yellow, what color interior do you have? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its has a black interior. Originally looking for a triple black car even though I loved yellow, but you can never find them. Dealership had both, it was a tough decision for me, but the wife was sold on yellow, so thats the one we got. Pics here: http://www.p-caronline.com/directory/huskydog
  3. FYI, the dealer where I purchased the car is installing the Nav this coming Friday for the factory cost of $2070.
  4. In MD I need to have a front license plate. Anyone have a better solution than drilling holes into the front bumper to mount the bracket?
  5. Saturday was an amazing day. Drove up to Brandywine Porsche near Phila (great dealership) to look at their selection of cars, probably 30 911's between new and used. From their website they had a 2004 911 that had been titled to someone at Porsche with 600 miles on it for $66900 and we thought it would be a nice step up from our 01. When we arrived the first car my wife saw was a new 05 Carrera in speed yellow and she fell in love with it (is that the perfect wife or what). Has power seats, heated seats, Xenon and Nav (nav to be added next week). (pic taken at dealership, not my garage...darn)
  6. Just traded my 996 for a 997 yesterday. Car did not have the Nav, but I wanted to add it. They have the units in stock (DVD and software) said when I come up to have it installed, I can wait for it to be done, only takes about an hour.
  7. Please cancel this request, Carfax has rules about using for your own use and not someone elses that I was not aware of. I apologize to all for my request in error. George
  8. My subscription expired 2 months ago, is anyone current that can help. Much appreciated. Removed - wrong in asking, my apologies to all. Thanks in advance.
  9. I just stripped a small piece of 18 gauuge solid wire and pushed into the back of the connector making the "jumper". Nothing is blowing up and it works great.
  10. Just finished the install of the Traffic Pro and now the one touch auto up down on the door windows no longer works. Windows do go up and down just not one touch. Anyone have any ideas??? Sunroof still works as one touch.
  11. I know it seems impossible in todays technical world, but I do not use Pay Pal, so how can I become a contributing member? Can I send a check or something?
  12. Crutchfield special, no tax, no shipping, ordered in amber to match rest of dash lights, will post progress during and after installation.
  13. I've done all the searches, and downloaded all the documentation, but I guess i'm a little stupid today. Can someone just give me a simple answer. Can I install the Traffic Pro Nav in my 2001 996 which has the CDR220 with the CD Changer and the DSP? I am mechanically inclined enough to do the work, just want to make sure it can be done. Thanks.
