  1. Himall. Nice to meet you all and thank you for letting me join you all, I got a 1999 986 in very bad condition, blown motor, bad paint and terrible interior. This is all well and good as its my project car, I own my own repair shop so this is nothing new to me with O/H cars but the Porsche is. To start i need to get a new engine and wonder what your experience idea would be what my best move is> replace with the original 2.5L or is one of the other engine a possible fit open to any suggestions' and play option.
