  1. Hi, ive just bought a 2005 2.7 Boxster 987 and the radio is a CDR24. No Bose!! All i get out of the radio is white noise. The CD works fine. It was suggested to remove fuse D10 which powers the ASK amplifier, so this might dissipate some static. I removed it overnight and when it was refitted, there was some radio success, but it was short lived, and it went back to its HISSY fit. To get round the issue, ive bought and fitted a DAB adapter/FM transmitter. I routed a ribbon aerial up the LH passenger side A pillar trim. Behind the trim was a single white wire that ended in nothing, half way up. (AM ANTENNA?) Anyways, still no success. The DAB will tune in but im still getting white noise. Next Google presented me with the antenna amplifier, as mentioned above. But reading the above comments, is it behind the RH pillar trim, or is it in the frunk? I have no interest in changing out the whole unit for blingy double din jobbie. Can someone advise please now ive resurrected this old thread. Many thanks.
