  1. Thank you - appreciate it - I am in the middle of a move - so the local dealer here will not be much help - I went the VIN specific route and found that the car was clear of any recalls - the CarFax just spooked me a little - I was just really curious to see which was accurate - and of course, if these 2 recalls were ones I could determine were done or not by looking over the car. I imagine all Cayenne 04 S owners were aware of these 2 recalls - so just wanted to see if anyone had any "inside scoop or info" on what to look for. P.S. I did call the local Porsche dealer and they of course would look at it - but since I have so many other problems, would end up with a gigantic bill -they would look at these 2 recalls - but keep my car for several days/several dollars (oil leaks, error codes, preventive coolant pipe swap-out) just for starters. Thanks for letting me vent a little - I just wish there was a concrete way to look up to see if these were done. If not, no biggie.
  2. Thank you - I appreciate that -I'm just going to try to do whatever I can to determine what this is - hope it's something not to crazy....
  3. Hi, these are not "new" - but they are both showing up on the Carfax report: Can anyone advise me on recall status. Just purchased a 2004 Cayenne S - love it, it's great. (except for all the problems I'm having..... argghhhh) The Carfax showed 2 recalls - 17V576 and 19V446 - no prob - so I checked vin# on Porsche site and the N.H.T.S.A. - both show 'No open Recalls' So, silly me, I'm trying to determine if they were done/remedied, etc. My local Porsche dealer says they will check them out - but before I bring it in, how can I tell if recalls were actually done? Any help- please?
  4. I still need to check to verify if the coolant pipes have been updated from the originals. I have a Cayenne 2004 S, every day I get small leaks - I looked under call and took a few snapshots, one huge oil spot area and another area that appears to be dripping fluid. I am trying to determine what fluid is leaking and from where.... very frustrating - I love this car - but the leaks and burning oil smell are starting to really get to me - any ideas? thanks.
