  1. Here is some talk on cam chains. http://www.lnengineering.com/buyingausedporsche101.pdf Paul
  2. This is getting closer. http://www.lnengineering.com/ims.html Paul
  3. You may want to give these guys a call. They use to sell a cam shaft guide that was alot stronger then the stock guide. http://www.lnengineering.com/hardware.html I cannot find it but I have seen it before. If your chain jumped a tooth, then it would be safe to say that a valve would ran into your cylinder. I would look into installing a new valve chain guide. Paul
  4. First thing I thought of when I saw your codes. Look for cracks on the old coils. Paul
  5. I added a bigger rear sway bar with some big size drop links. Very easy fix and does not cost to much. Paul
  6. It does fit in the trunk and it came with a jack. I have not had to use it yet. Paul
  7. I bought a spare 996 wheel for my 997 from Oklahoma Salvage yard for $200. It is a typical skinny tire. Here is a picture of the tire on the car. Paul
  8. Thank you for the correct number. I will go to the dealer tomorrow. I will buy two lights because the other one should go out about one week later. Paul
  9. I went to pep-boys but they don't have Porsche brake lights. The light is out. I just checked. I think it is part number #900 631 018 90. Does any one know if Mercedes parts and Porsche parts are the same? Paul
  10. I perfer the manual mode when I am on the track. I just like switching gears. There is something about changing gears in a turn. You are taught not to do that. Makes driving a tip so much fun. Paul
  11. I used a friends battery operated impact wrench at the track on my Porsche wheels. Very good for getting the nuts off. I snug fit them when putting the nuts on. Then I torque to 75 ft lb. Paul
  12. The only other ways to missfire is a bad fuel injector or you may need to flash the computer. Paul
  13. Maybe it learned how you drive and changed. I am sure the Singapore traffic has alot to do with it. Try getting some laps on a race track if you can. Paul
  14. Too many cords. Look into a battery impact wrench. Might be in the $200 range. Paul
  15. Maybe a trailer. You could always get the bicycle rack and add a storage box. You could also ship clothes to Yellow stone and when you get there, you ship your dirty clothes home. Paul
  16. I have 325 on the rear and the 5mm spacers and they don't rub. Paul
  17. I have never compressed a spring but I know it is dangerous. Be careful with your fingers. Do not rush yourself. Good luck. Paul
  18. You know everything Loren. Looks like he needs to talk to our friend. RFM from Belgium France. He must know where to get used parts in Europe. Paul
  19. Here is how it is done on the 996 side. http://www.renntech.org/forums/tutorials/article/88-row-m030-sport-suspension-install/ ROW means the rest of the world. Paul
