  1. In case it helps someone with this problem in the future, the initial codes I got when it failed were: P2103 P0638 P2100 P2101 Eventually a few others popped up: P2123 P2126
  2. 2008 Gas V6 M/T, about 130K miles. I bought it a little over a year ago. I was driving on the highway for about an hour with no issues, as soon as I cut the cruise control off I got a bunch of warning lights and was in limp mode with no power, rough idle, etc. Various codes related to the DBW system. I poked around for a bit and found this stripped gear in the throttle body. I bought a used throttle body with fewer miles and swapped that gear in to mine - I don't have any way to calibrate the the computer to the TB, so my thinking was that by only swapping that gear the calibration shouldn't change. After disconnecting the battery for a while and restarting everything seems to be working great again. I am wondering if anyone has seen this before and what might be the cause? Is this a calibration issue, did the previous owner force the throttle plate open to clean it, is that gear a normal wear item, do these things ice up in certain conditions? I am not sure. My replacement had about half the mileage on it and showed no wear. I did clean the TB while I had it out but it really wasn't that bad, certainly not sticking closed. The stripped portion of the gear is around the idle position.
