  1. Just an update. I took the car to a local shop that specializes in European cars. Seems to be a very knowledgeable guy, good reputation, 24 years experience and purchased the shop from his old boss 15 years ago. I explained my situation and his first question was, what kind of scan tool. I told him and he said that that should work. So he tried his professional tool and that didn't work either. Then he tried mine, same result. I paid him for his time and he's going to look into it with a dealer mechanic friend while I'm on a road trip, and we'll get back together in two weeks.
  2. I had to replace the battery in my '18 Macan (Sports Edition) and, after registering it, the dash display is telling me "steering support limited- drive with caution". I have an iCarSoft CR Pro+ and it has the steering angle sensor calibration. I also have a 2014-2018 Service and Repair Manual and it gives me initialization instructions: turn the wheel right/ left 6 degrees then back to center. The tester screen shows "yes" to all prerequisites , but when I proceed I get the follwing message on the dash screen: "PSM failure Consult a workshop Drive with caution". Any help on this will be appreciated. Since this calibration is required after any work on suspension components or wheel alignment, it would be great if someone did a DIY tutorial on it. I looked through my usual sources and found nothing.
