  1. Hi, i have recently purchased a very nice 997 Carrera S Tiptronic, however on my way home the other night whist doing around 40mph the car decided to suddenly change into 1st gear without warning, i quickly braked to a stop to stop over-revving the engine. Can anyone advise on what has caused this and what is required to prevent this happening again as this clearly isn't normal behavior. appreciate any advise on this. Thanks
