  1. Need some help regarding this. I just bought my 2001 986 S a month ago. Previous owner did this Evans PSE switch modification except for the exhaust etc because the car already had that on it. Worked great and I used it on and off on the 600 mile drive home with the car. Fast forward to today. I hadn't used it until today only to find out it isn't working. In fact, when I put the parking lights on the switch doesn't light up when it used to before so it's obviously not getting power. What changed? I put a new head unit in the original one DIN location sourced from Crutchfield and it was literally a plug and play deal. I also did the convertible top hack where you ground the 15 pin (parking brake) of the relay and bend over the 18 pin (car moving). Could the convertible top hack effected this switch in any way? I don't see how it could. I personally didn't do the top hack because I'm a paraplegic and could not contort my body under there. I had a friend come over and I directed him on what to do. The only other possibility is he somehow disturbed the wiring the previous owner did for the PSE mod but again, I can't get under there to see if they are even remotely close. Could it be a fuse? Can't really tell which fuse this falls under. B1 - nope, that one is good. B9 - that one looks good too. E9 and E10 also look good. Everything in the car works except this switch. I'm just not sure if I or my friend disturbed something the previous owner did. Logic says yes since it worked before and now it isn't. Thoughts from the experts?
