About Me
I'm not your ordinary female. I'm not just a fan of baking & sewing, I also trained at night school in car mechanics in 1987 as that's what I wanted to do as my career, but garages at the time wouldn't take on females.
My all time favourite car is the C3 Corvette, I fell in love with them when I was 10 years old (after watching the film The Hot One/Corvette Summer) & finally got one at 27. I've worked on many engines including a small block Chevvy 5.0 V8, but due to chronic health problems it's something I can no longer do.
I love anything to do with space, especially the Space Shuttle & I've visited KSC many times.
I'm an adrenaline junkie with a penchant for speed, including roller coasters. I once had the opportunity to do 8 laps solo with the Richard Petty driving experience, and I've flown a Texan T-6 with Warbird Adventures.
I'm very new to the Porsche Cayenne, having got mine in July 2023. It's everything I could wish for as it not only suits me well for my disabilities but combines it with the power and growl of a V8. She's very much a work in progress as the people who had her before got things done, but not in the proper way, so now I'm trying to put that right.
