  1. Posting to this old post in order to help the WILD people that would DARE to modify something they own... I always wear my seatbelt, but it annoys me that I when I start the car it starts beeping at me. I will buckle up, STFU and stop yelling at me car! 2006 Cayman Entire job took about an hour. Install a 180ohm resistor across the Yellow and Blue wires. I used a 500ohm 0.5w trimpot trimmer and adjusted it for the desired resistance. How it works: The driver side seatbelt plug is two wire that snaps into the side of the main seat harness. You can get to it by removing the seat and unplugging the main harness - Seat removal link When UN-Fastened the switch is open. The car sees 400ohms parallel to the added 180ohm = 124 ohm. When Fastened the switch is closed. 100ohm parallel to the added 180ohm = 64.2ohm The car seems happy with only 64ohm's resistance and no airbag light comes on. I did this with pigtail wires and a small connector to allow me to remove the trimpot resistor without taking the seat out. and find the right resistance for the car to no think there was a broken connection. No more annoying buzzer.
