  1. Hey Guys, I have a 98 Boxster... on one occassion as I was opening my top .. I heard a loud snapping noise at half way.. and then my top was no longer functioning. In a panic I closed the top.. now my top no longer works when I press the open button. I have read the forum and checked the parking brake light to make sure its on as well as fiddle around with the microsensors. My "rod" has been broken before.. and the guy who fixed it for me last time suspects that this is the problem..however he is charging me 300 dollars. Could anyone pls help with what you think is wrong? Thanks How would I go about manually opening my top? is there a manual button?
