its a 2003tt,i am changin the defroster to cf.(where the windshield meets the dash)tried to take the defroster strip but it will not detach completely as i notice there is a clip that inserts into the A pillar at the base .cant seem to figure out how to dismantle the A-pillar?your help is appreciated.tks -
There are quite a few post on the above topic which are only applicable to cabriolet.I need instruction on removing the covers on the A pillar(this is for 996 coupe).notice this piece goes all the way back just behind the frt seats.There is a clip on the defroster strip which fit underneath the A pillar n as such the cover on the A pillar needs to come off.Appreciate your comments.tks

took the lite switch out n cannot put it back in.the swtch is different from the diagram posted by loren.it has two wires in the back,one feeding the lites itself n one for the diode that iluminate the swtch position indicator.in lorens diagram there is no circular diode lighting piece that goes into the cup,if this piece is not inserted,it will fit perfectly.can some one please shed some lite on what i am doing wrong?thanks.

changing the stocker to cf n need advise whether it is safe taking out the airbag/wheel without disconnecting the battery.,dread having the need to reset all functions.

thank you loren,is there a source where i could obtain the factory parameters for eg.,sensors voltage range,temp,etc(where there are numbers actually specified for each function) -
codes for 996 turbo n 996 na ,are they the same?
