  1. I've no idea how it happened (well it wasn't me but noone else is owning up!) but I have a small dent in the rear bumper steel strip on my MY04 Cayenne. It's such a small dent that it should be possible to knock out. Can anyone give any advise on how to remove the strip? Is it a straightforward job or is it one of those 20 step procedures where almost the whole rear bumper needs disassembling before you can get to the right clips? Thanks
  2. I had the same problem on my Cayenne and traced it to damp in the rear license plate lights - due to water getting into the lamp fixture and sitting into where the bulb sits. I'm not sure if this is a general flaw that happens when water runs down the rear hatch or just on my Cayenne. To fix it I removed the lamp covers (simply unscrew), removed the bulbs and dried the fixtures. Then I put everything back but made sure the rubber seals between the lamp cover and bodywork were tight. No more annoying, random warning beeps with "check xyz bulb". Adam
