  2. hi, how can i remove the chrome topcaps from the litronic spray/wash part? i want to paint it separately during installation of a headlamp mask. only pull? any trick? thanks!
  3. hi, nothing happen that could affect the cables! everything is original without any modifications. :(
  4. hi, i have gearbox problems with my 996/2002. shifting is not smooth, every gear change makes a interruption... is there anything to adjust/lube/fix/control on the mechanic from the shifting knob to the gearbox? are there any DIY's or porsche service/maintance instructions available? thanks
  5. hi, i have never seen anything like that before: wracks :o  :(
  6. hi, the problem is that the targa roof is no as stable as e.g. the coupe roof. if you use a lower suspension it is also harder - that will make problems with the glass roof (noise, cracking...). but i don't have heard about a car with broken glass or so... i think if you do your modifications in a "small" (and not to hard) way it will be o.k.
  7. hi, 993 targa mj. 1996 VIN ZTS 08/95-07/96 have sometimes/mostly problems with the glass roof. mj. 97 or 98 VIN ZVS or ZWS have most times no problem! and be careful, don't use a sport suspension or rims with 18" or greater on 993er targa's B)
  8. @Loren the calibration instructions from the service manual are the thing i want too! i have the pcm1 manual by myself. thanks :)
  9. @Loren please can you send me the manual for the PCM1 calibration (and/or other service functions) too!?!
  10. hi loren, maybe i mean this part!?! will this part fit to the original front bumper, without modifications? is there any pic available? thanks
  11. hi, i am searching for a small add on front spoiler (or flap) for the original front bumper 996. in the aerokit XAG should be that part for the front!?! has anybody infos and a pic from that part? thanks
  12. i have also a "date" with the mechanik next week to change the RMS :( Targa 07/2002 22.500km
  13. o.k. i have just ordered spacers with 7mm each side from Albert Motorsport. porsche says that the wheel bolts have to be 8 turns inside, than they are long enough. albert says that some original bolts are long enough - i will see! by the way i will install spacers only on the back.
  14. up to production 08/2002 the PCM 1 was made by Siemens since 09/2002 the PCM 2 is made by Becker exact: PCM 1 radio part made by becker navi part made by siemens assembled by siemens excl. for porsche
  15. hi, i have the "SportDesign Wheel" 10Jx18 ET65 with tires 285/30 ZR 18 on my 2002 targa, suspension is standard. any idea what size of spacers can i add without mod the body?
  16. i have send a mail to Brey-Krause asking about anything to mod the sport seats, here is the answer: Hi Tom, Unfortunately, the only suggestion I have is to install the GT-3 seats. I do not know of any way to safely lower or move the factory seats. I am 6'4" and had the same problem. I used the GT-3 seats because their rounded bottom, mounted with our side brackets, lets us lower the seat right down between the rails instead of on top of them. Dodge :( @umn the porsche seat are produced from a company called LEAR. we (on my working place) made some work on the coming seats for the 997. if all things gone bad i have to ask the guys from LEAR for any idea. the contact to PORSCHE from outside germany may be good, from germany it is really bad for my case
  17. changing the steering wheel ist no option for me, but i have heard that the company TECHART has a 320mm wheel for the 986/996! Techart
  18. changing parts from the mounts are no problem, changing the seats is no option for me! i write to brey-krause asking about parts for the sport seats. did you have any other idea witch company maybe produces seat mounts for the original sport seats?
  19. hi, in my 07/2002 996er targa i have the "Sport Seats". the seats are great, a little problem for me is the max. adjustment range. i am 202cm (6'8") long and would prefere the seat a little bit more backwards and a little bit more down. is there any chance to mod the seat mounting or any thing else? or ist there any special part available? thanks!
