ericalan replied to ericalan's topic in 9PA, 9PA1 (Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo, Cayenne Turbo S)Thanks all for the comments... It was the left side fuel pump... Diagnosed via the pulling of the fuses method... I ran totally out of time and needed the vehicle back, so actually went to the dealer, price was not TOO bad  , but the convenience was there... They have not had a lot of these go bad yet, so the writer was curious as to how I diagnosed it... :king: Thanks again everyone! E.

Hey everyone, I have a 2005 S with about 135K on it (almost all me :D ) and the engine is stalling out, almost as if it is being fuel starved, about 20-30 seconds after starting. For the first 20 seconds I can rev it and move it (small distance!) with what feels like normal power, but then it slowly (5-10 secs) had lower idle, becomes less responsive and then stalls. All maintenance done, fuel/air filters changed, nearly full tank... My thought is the fuel pump... Ideas? If you also think fuel pump, anyone change it yet? Thanks in advance! Eric.
I had been living with the same issue on my 05CS for a while, the door was a "little" low and at speed or in crosswind (from the pass to the drvr side) the gap would slightly open... I showed it to the dealer tech and they put in a shim kit on the door which leveled the door and completely fixed the issue. Eric.
No not yet, will post...
I just had this put into my 05 CS and its VERY good. The user interface takes some getting used to, but with my 60G Video iPOD it is fairly snappy in getting the playlist up and changed... Very good to excellent sound... Eric.
ericalan replied to ericalan's topic in 9PA, 9PA1 (Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo, Cayenne Turbo S)Hi, Just to let you all know, the dealer found that the the reason for the operational difficulty was that a control code, IN THE SUNROOF, was not set properly to allow for the rear hatch hold down to work. The only way they found it was by having another customer's Cayenne with a FACTORY installed tire carrier side-by-side with mine and comparing codes for several hours... At least its fixed... Eric.
I just had my 05 CS in for several things including the Wipers (Driver Side). They told me that they changed the pressure on the drivers side arm and that seams to have fixed it (used the wipers much of the weekend and today...) Eric. :notworthy:
:( Hi All! I purchased a 2005 S which had the rear tire carrier already on it (added by the dealer for the previous owner). When I got it I noticed it was very hard to close the rear hatch without slamming it (my wife cannot do it). it just came back from the dealer for this problem and a couple of others (which they took care of) but the rear hatch still does not close. It looks like the automatic pull down is not operational. They are claiming that the rear tire carrier somehow does not allow the pull down to operate... Anybody have experience or advice?? Thanks! Eric.
