I have a 2000 996 and I also find the current bulbs not bright enough. Since mine utilizes incadescent bulbs, I thought I may try LED bulbs because they glow brighter, run cooler, and last longer. After some consulting with Loren, I found the bulbs in the Service Manual: Bulbs for Instrument cluster are: EBS-P/4-A 1.5 W EBS-P/4-A 1.2 W I also found a web page that makes LED bulbs for various applications including automotive purposes. The bulbs come in WHITE, BLUE, RED & GREEN. Automotive LEDs more specifically Dash Board LEDs Let me know if you find out whether these will work or not? GOOD LUCK! :lightbulb:
