  1. Noticed one of my headlamp washers is pushed inside the bumper (pops out when you press the button to spray the headlights) but goes all the way back in to the bumper once finished. Anyone know a fix and also how to remove the front bumper? I am also after an article on adjusting the rear spoiler, as mine is a bit squint after Porsche fitted a new control arm. Cheers, Waz
  2. Can somebody put me in the direction of a guide that can tell me how to remove the front bumper, as I noticed one of the washer jets is stuck right in the bumper! Also, I noticed that the underside of the spoiler (when raised) isn't clipped in properly and and you can see a slight edge which spoils the otherwise perfect line when it sits lowered back down. Anyone have a guide for this?
  3. Can anyone tell me where the ECU is located in a 987S and how to remove it? Need to check if a car has a DMS chip or not. Thanks, Waz
  4. I can't get the silver vent off at all! Top bit came loose but the middle won't budge! I tried attacking the plastic black tabs visible under the vent but no luck :(
  5. Hi, it has only done 9000 miles.
  6. After a journey today I noticed the ticking noise coming from the drivers side (UK) air intake vent area, the same area I am smelling some burning type smell....
  7. Thanks for the detailed response! I don't have the dreaded 2100 rpm issue, but find when my car is fully warm I still hear a tick, tick, tick noise...My car is going in for some recall work so will get it checked out then and see what they have to say. Performs and operates prefectly fine though and has been a joy to drive!
  8. Hi, been lurking on these forums over the last few days and found you all to be an informative and helpful lot! Just purchased my 2005 Boxster S and have a few questions: 1. Noticed that at idle my car sounds rather rattlley and makes ticking type noises even when warm, is this a common Boxster trait? 2. After driving around town for 30mins and leaving my car I can smell a burning type smell coming from the driver side vent on the outside of the car, any ideas? 3. Noticed the oil check to be inconsistent, on some level surfaces it shows full and others it shows down th the 1/3 mark! 4. Car becomes two years old in March but the service countdown has already begun and is on 28 days!? 5. Where can I find out more info on the pending recalls on my car as my local Porsche dealers systems are currently down. Thanks in advance, Waz
