  1. Hi Guys: Take alook at this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ELM-327-USB...56419QQtcZphoto What do you think?
  2. did not follow the instructions 100%, instead of taking out the drain plug, wait for the oil to drain, put the drain plug back and then replacing the oil filter this is what I did: removed the drain plug and the filter, waited for the oil to drain ( aprox. 2 hrs.), put the drain plug back and then replaced the oil filter, the engine was cold. Would that have adverse consequences, air in the oil ducts, etc.? Also, put 9 qts of mobile 1, the dip stick and the dash gauge shows under the low level line. Turned the engine on for about 3 to 4 min but no change on either measuring method. Any suggestions?
  3. Thanks Loren... If you can, which are the steps?
  4. Which is the best way to run wires from the radio to the rear area behind the seats? Would like to run hidden wires for a powered subwoofer.
  5. Thanks for your response Viper. Guess I started from the bottom up, already have the HU installed and a Bazooka self powered subwoofer (a frien gave it to me) not installed yet. Is there any modification needed to mount the dash and door speakers?
  6. This also: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...2&hl=pinout
  7. Check this, hope it works: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?a...mp;showfile=548
  8. Hi Guys: Would like to change the sound system in my MY99 C2. Planning on doing this: After market HU (Pionner/Alpine) Electronic Crossover 4 Channels Amp. Subwoofer self powered(Bazooka/Infinity) Would like to to use the door speakers as mid range, do I need a different type of speaker than the factory installed or will the crossover take care of it? Should I match the speakers peak rate to the amp rms power or the speakers rms rate to the amp rms power?
  9. Hi: Noticed that the connectors for AUDi/VW on a Pahtnoise to be connected on the CD changer harness are similar ( the pic was not big enought) to the connectors for the CD Cahnger harness on a Becker cd/cdr220. Are the connectors/harness the same? Thanks
  10. Wanted to post the pic on the other forum you are posting but was not able to. Try turning it with a screw driver the part inside the red circle. It could be that the real switch is broken so try removing the actual switch at the end of the assembly.
  11. Would this cd cahnger work with a CDR-210? Sony Xplod CDX-757MX, it has the same connections (unilink + RCA) as the Sony already in my MY99 911 C2.
  12. No Joy! but quit a few have tried to help me but, the key needs to be turned "on" to push the pin to release lock but, " I can not turn mine" so I'm tring to just remove the switch on the lock in hopes that I can turn the key. It's a long shot I guess but one of the 2 set screws will not come out, man what else, I even contimplated cutting the area with a dremel around the pin so I can pull it out and if that does not work I will just take a FLAME THROWER TO IT!. Anyone have any suggestions. I am just surprized that this has not happened to anyone else that cannot turn there key to the "on" position. Make sure the steering wheel is not locked, also the switch at the end of the locking colum is not what makes the key turn unless the switch has something broken inside. Another part that may cause the key not to turn is the lock barrel. Take a look at this: Steering_Lock.pdf Hope other members with more knowledge than me can help you. Don't think flaming anything would be a good idea, you could burn something inside that tight sapce.
  13. Hi Guys: Would like to know waht paint to use in order to touch up or completle paint the silver metal parts on the doors storage boxes. Could I sue the same paint for the hood lever? The part I'm reffering to is inside the red square. Door_Detail.pdf
  14. The pin can not be pushed fron under the dash board, you would have to remove the instrument cluster, it can be seen from there. Just replaced mine. Need to go but when I return will try to send you how to do it in pdf. format.
  15. Hi all: How can the carbon canister be removed? I have the pdf format service manual but nowhere to be found how to remove the carbon canister. Need to repair/work on the fuel filler flap actuator. Thanks
  16. Hi Guys: What harware would I need to instal a 4 point seat belt on my MY99 996 without a roll cage?
  17. Thanks for response Loren. So, based on that in order to by-pass it all I would have to do is bridge the two connectors, or eliminate the switch and connect the two wires, is that correct, any negative consequences in the electrical/computer system of the car?
  18. Is the clutch killer switch a normally open or a normally closed switch?
