  1. Thanks JFP. By the way, although the aftermarket are for wheel spacers my car does not have wheel spacers. What are wheel spaces for?
  2. All rims are the same brand but noticed a difference between the front and rear wheels bolts. The front are longer,(left in pic) and needed a 17mm socket. The rears are shorter (right in pic) and needed a 19mm socket. Assuming the longer ones (front) are after market and the shorter ones (rear) are originals. Could that be the case, are the front bolts supposed to be longer. Also, sorry for the stupid question, what are wheel spacers for?
  3. Sorry for this stupid question but misplaced the owners manual and need to know which is the high beam and low beam bulb in a 996 MY99. Finished building the internal wire harness of the headlight assembly and forgot which bulb is which.
  4. In this image, which are the oil and battery gauges bulb?
  5. Please: As you may have seen on a previous post, my MY99 996 C2 needs the headlights replaced. Searching ebay and the web noticed that the advertise Boxter headlights are cheaper than the 996 headlights. It is my understanding that, for certain Boxter model years, the headlights are swpable. Which Boxter model year headlights are compatible with the MY99 996? Some times there is a difference of a couple of hundred dollar for the halogen lights. I'm interested on this info not only for new parts but for used ones as well. Thanks
  6. On Pic 1, Red circle, is this the high beam?, Yellow circle, is this the low beam?, White circle, is this the Fog light? On Pic 2. Red and Yellow circle, what are these for? On Pic 3. The Red circles, that is what you have to unscrew in order to take out the headlight base?, is the screw on the far left the one to adjust the beam? These screws have a thumb screw in the bottom. I want to take out the headlight base because there is something where that the headlight assembly get stucked with. Thinking that if I mount the headlight assembly on the base while being out of the fender I could see what may be causing the headlight assembly to get stucked.
  7. Now, anybody has the wiring diagram of the headlights?
  8. Installing a HID kit on my 99 C2 996 found this. Anyone has an idea where I can get the connector that is in the headlight assembly and connects to the headlight base? I just been saved from something catastrophic.
  9. Almost done building a bleeder with a garden sprayer.
  10. My bad, was not specific on why my question. Sburke is correct, wanted to siphon the old fluid from the reservoir. But according to JFP is not necessary. Guess with the pressure bleed the old fluid will be forced out by the fresh fluid.
  11. Planning on bleeding the brakes, opened the reservoir and there is a plastic filter(cup), tried to pull it but no cigar. Afraid if too much force will break it. Is there a trick to take it out?
  12. Sta-Bil 360 "This additive releases a corrosion preventing vapor that coats ALL metal parts of the fuel system, including the fuel tank, fuel sending unit, valves, carburetor/fuel injectors and intake manifold. STA-BIL® 360 Protection is recommended to be used at EVERY FILL UP in collector/muscle cars, motorcycles, ATV’s and any other gasoline engine needing the ultimate corrosion protection from the damaging effects of Ethanol blended fuels.g effects of Ethanol blended fuels."
  13. Well, the cluster cove was on top of a lot of junk, that's why it looks so messy. Now, in regards to taking it apart there are several posts that describe how to do it.
  14. Found it... http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Chevrolet_Bumper_Grille_Wheel_Extruded_U_Nut_p/a21539.htm
  15. Hi, found this website, may be of interest for some. Take a look http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/
  16. Did some search at Pelican but no cigar. Under what should I search?
