  2. I have a friend with a hydraulic crimper for thick cables. Also, was planning to use the cables that come with the car. Was asking for the gauge in order to get the correct terminal size/gauge. Thanks for the recommendations.
  3. What is the gauge of the positive and negative battery cables? Did a search but no cigar. Thanks Want to know the gauge of the battery cables "+" and "-" in order to use the shown battery terminals. For that I would need the connector/s for the corresponding gauge..
  4. A friend gave me a working 996 alternator but is for an automatic. Can the pulley be replaced with the correct one. Saw this on ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-986-996-997-Alternator-Pulley-clutching-type-OEM-carrera-turbo-/350776282920?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3APorsche&hash=item51abe54f28&vxp=mtr
  5. What is the difference between a 996 C2 MY99 manual and a 996 C2 MY99 automatic alternator? It is my understanding that there is a difference.
  6. Hi: Got a BK fire extinguisher mount for my 996. I know that bracket holds a 2.5 lbs. bottle but does anyone here knows what's the biggest bottle I can attach to the 996 BK bracket? Thanks.
  7. I was following the DIY posted in these forums in regards to fixing foam coming out of the vents. Disconnected in/out hoses and some coolant spilled in the area. Is there a risk of rust?
  8. Wrong subject don't know how to delete a post.
  9. Replacing the rear shocks noticed need to replace both SHOCK RUBBER BUFFER , number "8" in the diagram. But the description shows 2 different part numbers. Which would be the correct one, 99633310502 or 03? My cars is a MY99, 6 speeds, C2. 8 996 333 105 02 Additional Spring 2 (8) 99633310503 Additional Spring 2 M 030 (8) 99633310503 Additional Spring 02 2 2 M 030 C 4-S
  10. http://www.vertexauto.com/ShowItem/151230%20Porsche%20Left%20Side%20Marker%20%20European.aspx Think is a good price,
  11. What are the spec of the front and rear bearings? C2, MY99, 6 speed manual. I think if you purchase the bearing to a bearing seller, they might be cheaper than purchasing them from Porsche, a dealer and/or auto part seller.
  12. !!THANKS!!! Will do. And the transmission oil, at the same interval? Out of subject but will ask anyways, I don't use the car every day, nor every weekend, much less track it, what break pads would it be recommended, brand, type, etc. As you may noticed catching up with some maintenance.
  13. Got the LN plug. Installed, all OK. Read on a previous post in this thread that is recommended that the Mobil 1 5W-50 be changed in a shorter interval. Which is the suggested interval for this oil, miles, months?
  14. Done deal. Thanks to all for the assistance and recommendations.
