    I bought the Durametric Diagnostic tool and found the following fault codes: Airbag: C152 Meldung timeout PSM PAS: 8004 Versorgunsspannung Klemme 50 8005 Versorgunsspannung Klemme S 8053 Electronic steering column lock What does all this mean? Should I take my car to the dealer? 2007 Boxster S (987) Thanks. Rob

    Durametric just notified me and said thatthey now have the tool for the 2007 Boxster. Regards, Rob Don't know yet -- the Durametric support person told me that they're checking the 07 Boxster ECU. One thing to keep in mind is that the Feds are requiring all cars sold in the US will be CAN-bus compliant starting in 2008, so CAN will be the communications protocol for talking to ECU's for OBD-II info and everything else on cars. I'm very interested in buying a Durametric tool, so I'll post info as I get it for others. Regards, paul...

    Soetekouw, As Loren recommened, I did that a few months ago and the Durametric rep told me that starting in '07, Porsche was making the diagnostics (OBD-II) protocol to be CAN which is what is mandated on all cars sold in the US starting in 2008. So to answer your question, the Durametric tool that works on the 2006 987's won't work on the 2007's (it can't communicate). I plan on calling them again in the summer to see how the software development is going as I plan to buy the tester as soon as it's released. Regards, paul... Thanks Paul, Let me know when you know.     Has anyone used the durametric tool on a 2007 Boxster S/ Cayman? The company only lists their tool for vehicles to year 2006. Are the control modules different between the 2006 and 2007 model years? How about where you plug in the cable? Can the 2006 Boxster Duramtric kit be used on the 2007 vehicles?

    They finish up around $45... the logos were only on my first test piece and I dropped the idea before getting any copyright calls. I'm about to test two different designs, a slim single leg version and a smaller version of the inverted Y. I've also done one for a 99x recently, I'll attach a picture. Chris. Chris, I have a 2007 Boxster S (987) (actually it is being built and I won't have it until March). I prefer your original inverted Y design over the single leg. It looks sturdier. Is the unit pretty rigid and will it hold the Valentine well? Is there any flex or movement of the bracket when you go over a rough road? How will your original design differ from the smaller version of the inverted Y? Any picture? I really like the location where you put the detector - out of the way between and behind the seats. The bracket is tall enough so that it will have both visibility in the both the front and rear, i.e., clear the front dash and be able to see out of rear window when top is up, correct? I like to get one from you Chris. Please provide payment instructions. Thanks.

    Chris, I like your bracket for it gets the detector off the dash/winshield and out of the way. Don't care much for the logos. How much would you charge to get me one. Thanks. Rob

    Hi, I am ordering a 2007 Boxster S and have decided to go with Cobalt Blue Metallic. If anyone has one, could you post a picture. It is very hard to imagine what the color looks like on a car when the dealership only has a sample color chart. I want to make sure that I picked the right color (2nd choice is GT Silver metallic). Thanks.
