  1. I will up load a picture of the wheels off the car. I had them custom painted the lip was chrome prior . The wheels are listed on eBay . $795 rims + $900 tires +500 painting of lips + 200 mount/balance =2395 . You can't buy these wheels anywhere as I borrowed the idea from wicked Porsche website . They were on a 997 and looked amazing . Now the supercharger is going in so it won't fit into the category "all show no go." lol.
  2. What did you use to mount that gauge? The A-pillar pod? Any ideas?
  3. i want to install a gauge to show me how much my supercharger is making in psi. According to the tpc website my supercharged is suppose to be producing 6.5 lbs of boost. Any suggestions on a digital gauge I can buy that will accomplish my goal?
  4. I have a durametric but i am sure that is not going to detect any codes.. Do you think a porsche pwis would pick up on anything?
  5. I don't think he did anything the painter... I am thinking that maybe the knob on the dashboard that controls the speed of the wipers is messed up or is not connected. He only removed the A/C vents, center trim and center console. Those would have nothing to do with the wipers at all. I did the relay swap already like I stated now I am trying to figure out if maybe i switch out the fuse (which number fuse is the wipers?). The headlight switch and ignition switch have been changed with in the last 8 mths. I have only owned the car since July 2011, so I know they are fairly new. I am not saying that there isn't a chance that they aren't faulty but seems unlikely. What I did notice which maybe can help figure in this matter is when my car is off and I turn the headlight switch to the right it makes like a sizzling/electronic noise like when you out on your deck and that bug zapper catches a fly or whatever and it fries it. Well that is the sound I get but only with the car off and no key in the ignition. If the key is in and the car is on no sound whatsoever. The picture I attached is the knob I am talking about that controls the wiper speeds.
  6. What wire could it be? Ignition switch was replaced less then a yr ago along with the headlight switch.
  7. Ok, so I had my interior trim painted and my painter dropped off my car to my house. He told me that for some reason my wipers would not stop moving. So I went on this site and found several past posts saying that it was the relay #16 that needed to be replaced as that its common problem. In the meanwhile of waiting for a new relay I pulled out the faulty one and the wipers stopped moving and all turned on manually. Well, Friday I went to my local dealership and picked up my special ordered relay and put it in my car. Well let's just say it wasn't what I expected to happen. My wipers even in the off position kept moving!!!! I pulled the new relay and i am back to square 1 . Can someone please lend any advice as now its really annoying and has me really puzzled as to why I can't figure it out... Could it be the fuse? If so what number fuse? Could it be the stalk?
  8. LOL, I am not sure if that is a good thing but I like the look. Needed something. I will post pictures of the supercharger.
  9. Ok, I am not sure even how to figure this out. My painter brought the car to me and when he came to my house the wipers would keep going on intermittently . The stalk is in the off postion but the wipers still going. I take the key out of the ignition and turn the headlight switch to parking lights and I hear an awful grinding noise and my headlights started going like disco headlights but the funny part is the the headlight switch was not on the position of headlights but parking lights. When I turn off the headlight switch in the off postion the wipers stop .... what is the problem???? headlight switch? wiper intermitent relay?
  10. Thank you GoMarlins. My next thing I am doing is a two piece wheel with the center piece being shiny black and the the lip being powdercoated white should look pretty good. Then its off to get some horsepower, by putting in a supercharger with all the necessary parts to make it work. ex new pistons . Here is an idea of what the wheels are going to look like.
  11. I needed to spruce up the inside alittle bit so I decided to have some trim painted. Anyone near northern nj I have an awesome painter at reasonable prices. Let me know what you think.
  12. If they will work, how long does the lugs nuts have to be? 45mm long enough?

  15. I looked all over rennlist and didn't see it, do you remember exactly what were the things that needed to be done ?
  16. Well, here is what I learned, I took it all apart as i was lucky enough to get the hood open and I found that this... Now here is my question, I know the white cable attached to the acutator is broken where clips into the lower latch but now I looked on dcautomotive and pelicanparts. and its a picture confusing, I see that the parts numbers as this : Hood release cable (2) (b1) Item Number: 99651101701- this is the off the actuator???? sold separately or comes in one hold piece with acutator? Hood latch-lower Item Number: 99651105302- lower trunk latch Emergency hood latch release cable Item Number: 99651152100 http://dcauto.gotdns.com/search/index?target=996-511-127-00+&searcher=&commit=Search does this come with cable as one piece?
  17. I am having a really bad week... or maybe month. Let's start off with the fact my circulate pump on my heat went at the beginning of the month, then two days after that my hot water heat went. I figured it was only a matter of time for the third thing to go wrong so I just waited for it. Let's just say I wasn't surprised to see that my car one day wouldn't start.... I tried to pop the hood and got nothing, after about hour of trying to jump start the fuse that has the hood picture on it I gave up and had the car towed to my mechanic. After dropping it off I found that you can jump start it in the engine compartment or hook up a battery trickle ( which is what my mechanic did). He explained to me that once he did that my car started right up. I found it odd but nevertheless was happy that it wasn't the starter or battery ( as of now) cause i can't nor can my mechanic open the front hood to check the battery. So, I decided to go to my emergency cable to pop my hood and to my great luck the cable is snapped and just stuffed up in the wheel well... Just a side note I am the second owner of this car so .... So now what do I do to get into my car.... Any suggestions.. Can I removed the bumper and get to the hood release.. plz any help would be great.
  18. Manufacturer Controlled Ignition System Or Misfire, Are your coil packs cracked?
  19. Quick question, with the process of refilling the transmission fluid. The drain plug has a hole in it do I have to keep the plug in place and put the hose through that little hole on it or can I remove the plug and put the hose directly in there and fill the transmission fluid? I am a bit confused on that step. My mechanic is telling me that the drain plug has to be in place in the transmission and then the he has to get a special tool to put in the hole on the drain plug which pushes in and is able to fill the transmission. Can someone shady some light on this?
  20. My question is that this kit only works on most 996s up to 2001? What happened to the 2002 and above. I have a 2002 996 c2 tiptronic that I am looking to ge this kit for . Any kit for my car?
