  1. I purchased a warranty through my dealer from EasyCare. My car is a 2000 C4, so it went out of warranty in 2004 with about 32,000 miles. The EasyCare was their "Gold" version, not quite bumper to bumper but good coverage. It goes for 4 additional years, and up to 75,000 miles, with a $200 deductible. Cost was about $2,500 (a good portiuon of which goes to the selling dealer). The price varied according to the deductible and the tyep of coverage. Unfortunatley I am out of town now so can't check exactly what the coverage is of the price, but it was alot less than $3,500. So far it has paid for a RMS replacement no questions asked, or even an inspection. Also paid through my Indy, not just through the dealer ( the dealer charges $149/hr, the Indy $99/hr and I was having other work done at the same time, the clutch needed replacing so the RMS covered the R&R of the trans, I papid a couple of hours to upgrade the throughout lever/bearings). You might want the check out EasyCare, the seem pretty good.

    Thanks!!!

  2. I am debating putting an extended warranty from GE Capital on my 2003 C4s (27,000 miles on vehicle). Does anybody have any experience with GE Capital Warranty Services? The cost for the additional 3 years and additional 36,000 miles is ~ 3500. Supposedly this is the bumper to bumper 5 Star coverage (everything but wear and tear items etc). Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! The local dealer, Herb Chambers, uses GE for all of their warranties. Herb Chambers has over 30 dealershps in the area and they are quite reputable.

    Thanks!
