  1. Thank alot fellas, Alot more confident now, with the added info. Silicone to hold them in, I would't have thought of that one. Thanks again-you guys are great.
  2. Hello Fellas, I have a MY06 997C2S with the factory AeroKit front bumper, and have bought a set of screens to protect the rad openings. Does anyone know the procedure for removing the front bumper assembly? And if anyone has done this mod before, how did you secure the screens in place, between the front bumper and vent openings? The kit says to drill some small holes and secure with tiewraps :o . I am sure that someone out there has given this some serious thinking. If so, please save me a few grey hairs trying to figure this out. Thanks,
  3. Thanks alot guys, All very good advise-I guess it maybe about 2000 miles before I get the Stereo and Nav sussed out anyway. I will try and excersise the engine beween 2000-4000 rpm, keep varing the speed, and take it for a few long tours- ;) Thanks again, Kurt
  4. Hello There Fellas, I bought my 2006 997-C2S from Florida with 2000 miles on it. As I was getting it Canadianized at my local Porsche dealership, a very meticulous mechanic noticed an anti freeze stain on the bottom of the block, that he diagnosed as a pourous Block Casting. As the service manager said "Not a big deal, but for a Porsche this is unacceptable". So they replaced the engine-LOL. Now I have to break this new engine in. The manual does say, not to exceed 4200 RPMs for the first 2000 Miles. I would like to get from some advise, from anybody that has gone thru this, if there are any other hints you may have, to optimize the engine breakin. Cheers, Kurt
  5. Cheers David, The new GT3 chin lip spoiler does seem alot more flexible. The original one (I want to preserve) seems alot stiffer and also painted and clearcoated. I will try yanking carefully from either side towards the middle-BTW Love the way the black lip looks on your red car. Thanks again, Kurt
  6. Hello Fellas, I have a 2006 997S with the aero kit option and would like to exchange the chin lip spoiler. I have removed the retaining screws and was wondering if there is a trick to removing those clip tabs without trying to tear the spoiler free-that makes me very nervous. Thanks, Kurt
  7. Thanks David, I thought while I was at it I would replace front forward fender well. Seems that I must have torn that little rubber flap off some how :( . That black lip would look great on a red car. Cheers, Kurt
  8. Hello Fellas, I would like to replace the chin lip spoiler on Aero Kit 997S and was wondering if it was possible to use a floor jack under front lift point and find a place to install jackstands? Are the lift points the only place to support or lift front end? Cheers Sorry fellas should have done the search first-found a great thread that expained everything-have to jack back lift point and place stand under front lift point :jump: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=3404
  9. Thanks alot Loren, Have tried to get ahold of them for info but still no reply-:( Will keep trying Cheers
  10. Hello There Fellas, Can anyone out there tell me where to source a front lip spoiler c/w brake ducts for my 2006 997 C2S (AeroKit). Thanks
