  1. My new 4s (2005) has been standing still for a couple of months with a dead battery. Now that I have new battery I keep getting the message: headlight adjustment faulty. When I powerstarted the car I immediately got the message. After 10 minutes, the warning disappeared. When the new battery got installed I did not see the message anymore for 8 starts. Now it is back again and quite consistent (started the car 15 times and everytime the message appeared. Sometimes the message goes away after 10 minutes or so, but most of the time it stays on.

When I start the car, I see the lights go down first before getting to the correct level, so the adjustment motors work fine. What could be causing this error message? I am also puzzled that I do not get the message everytime. Could there be a programming issue or a loose cable? Any ideas??

    Thanks, frank

hi frank, know it's been a while, but my 06 c4s has recently developed very similar symptons to your car last year "headlight beam adjustment faulty". just wondered how you fixed the problem.

    many thanks lensta

  2. i have a problem with the clutch, when the car is warm and i depress the clutch pedal i can hear squeeky noise from the engine bay, only noticed it when the car was stationry, sounds like an old spring being stretched. is there anything on the clutch lincage or the clutch plate itself that could cause this. the has covered about 17000 miles and does not seem to be exhibiting any other gear box type problems that i have noticed so far. any ideas anybody. regards lennie

  3. interested to know if anyone's had an engine remap on a 997 with an x51 power kit. if so what company and what sort of improvement in power do you gain in real terms, is there a big difference, or is it quite a modest gain? would appreciate some honest feedback from from fellow x51 drivers, not just facts & figures quoted by the remapping company's. 06 997 c4s x51 sports suspension lsd

  4. Seems pretty odd unless it was over filled, or the cap was overtightened, or the reservoir somehow took a blow that damaged it.

I would watch it daily for a week or two and see if you notice level change or other problems.

cheer's loren, appreciate the input. back to work tomorrow for a few weeks unfortunately, won't see the car for awhile but will take your advice next time i get home. all the best mate
