  1. I bought a 1st generation 996 cup car (1998) this winter. (have had it on teh track to pass a few 2007 GT3s at Watkins Glen a few weeks ago - very fast car). It has gone through some mods to bring it into spec as a 2004 GT3RS with the exception of the transmission. The transmission is a G50. I am told, the first generation used the tranny from the 993 because the new cable **** transmissions were suspect with regard to racing reliability. ANYWAY..... The clutch is sticking in the depressed position when I shift (actually - only when the engine is running). I push the clutch in, shift then release my foot, but the pedal does not follow my foot up with pressure against my foot. It delays for a moment and then jumps up and hits my foot, or sometimes waits even longer before returning to the engaged position. I have repeatedly bled the clutch system, and have also just replaced the master cylinder - do I tackle the slave cylinder next?
  2. I have a 2006 997/CS2 cab with manual trans that I want to drain the coolant and refill with appropriate bleeding - anyone here have info on the procedures for doing this (other than the obvious of taking it to a dealer). I have the 996 manual, but I know they had to modify the cooling system of the 997 (and even more so the S) to accomodate the larger warmer running engine.
