  1. Hello folks....,

Just finished to change all the plugs in my 99 Boxster. A lot easier then i tought.

I found some oil in my no 2 cylinder and i think that this is caused by a leaking spark plugs tube.

The question is....may i get the tube out and change the O rings without taking off the plug

    Thanks Again

    Robert

Hi, I replaced the tubes and o-rings on my car 2 weeks ago and no you don't need to remove the plugs .

Removing the tubes was a nightmare I had to brake the outside lip of the tubes to get to the o-ring and pull it out with long nose pliers and then the tube slides out easily, if you have to use the same procedure as me

be careful not to let any parts of the plastic tube fall inside the engine .

    Good Luck

  2. it helped for a while, but code came back.

i dont mind cleaning it at all...would it help if i for instance cleaned it weekly for a few weeks? or would that just cause more problems?

Hi, I had the same problems and CEL always kept coming back on, so i replaced the MAF and so far 1000 miles and no CEL and just the improvement in throttle response was worth replacing it. :clapping:
